Carol Mae Redwing

Watertown - Carol Mae Redwing passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Watertown, SD at the age of 78.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM at the United Methodist Church of Watertown on Monday, November 27, 2023. A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Watertown on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at the Oxford Cemetery of Thomas, SD. A lunch will be held back at the church following the burial.

Carol Mae (Beatty) Redwing, the daughter of Earl and Iona (Bell) Beatty was born on December 3, 1944, in Luverne, Minnesota. She lived in Jasper, MN and attended Jasper Public Schools until moving to Pipestone where she attended Pipestone High Schools graduating in 1962. She worked as a waitress and later married Rupert H. Redwing on January 13, 1963, at Pipestone, Minnesota and started raising a family. They made their home in Pipestone until 1971 when the couple moved to Watertown, SD. She worked for Crystal Water in Watertown, SD, where she won many awards for her work. She enjoyed loom knitting, puzzles, scratch off tickets and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rupert, her parents, 3 siblings, and one infant son.

She is survived by four daughters; Sandra (Kevin) Stark of Perris, CA, Connie Dragroo of Norfolk, NE, Tina Clarkson of Minneapolis, KS, and Elizabeth Ober of North Platte, NE; five sons; Clayton (Deb) Redwing of Sioux Falls, SD, Kevin (Denise) Redwing of Perris, CA, Keith (Julie) Redwing of Norfolk, NE, Timothy Redwing of Clifton, IL and Brian Redwing of Watertown, SD, one brother Donald (Marcella) Beatty of Balaton, MN, 33 grandchildren, 34 greatchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
