Carol Ann LaBarre Ritzel

Carol Ann LaBarre Ritzel, 77, of Ocean View, DE, formerly of Easton, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her home. Born February 4, 1939, in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Blane LaBarre, Sr. and Ruth Mae McCormick LaBarre. She and her husband Rodney, celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on November 22, 2015. Carol was a gymnastic coach at Will-Moor Gymnastic Center, Mt. Laurel, NJ. She had also been employed at Weis Market and the former Dixie Cup Company. She enjoyed gymnastics, tennis, bowling, fishing and casinos. Carol was a member of Eagles Aerie, Millville, DE and the VFW Post, Bethany, DE. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Kevin J. Sandt and his wife Kathleen, of Canadensis, PA and Brian Sandt, of Bear, DE; a daughter, Karen Malachowski and her fiance Michael Hartzog, of Mt. Bethel, PA; a step-son, Rodney Ritzel and his wife Christina, of Stamford, CT; a step-daughter, Carla Adams and her husband Perry, of Lusby, MD; two sisters, Joan Buckingham, of Independence, MO and Donna Rudy and her husband Bradford Peters, of Easton, PA; and four grandchildren, Cala Sandt, of Canadensis, PA, Jonathan Malachowski, of Moorestown, NJ, Charlotte Adams, of Lusby, MD and Michael Sandt, of New Orleans, LA; nieces, nephews, an aunt and an uncle. She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur B. LaBarre, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough.
