Carol Ann Sain

Carol Ann Sain (Williford) of Mooresville, NC, passed away on March 16, 2024, in Raleigh, NC, at the age of 74. She was born on January 30, 1950, in Mooresville, NC.

Carol was a wonderful mother, wife, nana, and friend, known for her endless support, love, encouragement, and guidance. She faced life's challenges with strength and resilience, inspiring those around her. Carol enjoyed island life on Harker's Island with her husband, Mike, and her beloved dogs, Bailey and Georgie. She took exceptional pride in her home, loved decorating, cleaning, and organizing, and always found time for a little dancing.

Carol leaves behind a legacy of passion and strength, cherished by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Michael Wayne Sain; sons Eric & wife Christie Sain of Morrisville, NC, and Greg Sain of Walkertown, NC; grandchildren Haley Sain & daughter Melanie Torres (great-granddaughter) of Morrisville, NC, Tyler Sain & fiancée Michelle Lopez of Morrisville, NC, Kennedy Sain of Washington DC, and Hannah Sain of Raleigh, NC; sisters Linda ("Van") Van Wieren of Kannapolis, NC, Cindy Price of Kannapolis, NC, Patty (Tony) Heilig of China Grove, NC, and Sue Pressley of Landis, NC; and her dogs Georgie and Bailey.

Carol graduated from Mooresville High School and went on to attend Wake Forest University/ Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. She had a successful career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC, earning numerous awards for her academic excellence. Carol enjoyed her retirement over the past two decades with her husband and best friend, Mike.

In her free time, Carol enjoyed camping, had a deep love for animals, supported the Humane Society and ASPCA, and cherished spending time with her grandchildren, forming close bonds with each of them.

Carol will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
