Carol Dalida Tejada passed away peacefully Monday night at Windsor Vallejo Care Center at the age of 50, after a long battle with a lingering illness.
She was born Jan. 1, 1961, in Camanci, Batan Aklan, in the Philippines. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the
University of Sto. Thomas in 1982, she immigrated to the United States and worked as a registered nurse at Napa State Hospital.
Carol is preceded in death by her father, Enrico Dalida, Sr.; brother, Edward Dalida; and sister, Teresita Dalida.
She is survived by her husband, Romuel Tejada; son, Justin Tejada; mother, Remidios Dalida; brothers, Enrico, Edwin, Leo, and Neil Dalida; sister, Regina Teding; and family.
A long-time parishioner at St. Basil's Parish, a private Catholic service will be held on Sept. 6.
Visitations will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, Sept. 4 and Sept. 5, at Colonial Chapels, 1000 Redwood St., Vallejo, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Monday.
