We see many signs from You both that give Us all the strength to carry on living and make You both so proud. We love and miss you more than words can say. Rest in Peace xxx

Nobody can replace your Mum. Nobody can do half the things she did for you. Nobody can compare to her. Your Mum is only one person, but she is the person that matters the most. No matter where she is, on earth or now in Heaven, there is nothing like a Mothers Love.

It is time to celebrate,
The anniversary of a couple so great.
You both were made for each other,
You both made the perfect mother and father.

It was a complete shock when we were told by the Nurses of Your end of life plan,
We were not ready for You to leave this world.
Say goodbye, Carol, Our Grandma and Mum.
As the week unfolded, We shared many laughs and tears,
And as a Family, We discussed all Our dreams, Our hopes and Our fears.
Mum, You accepted Your fate, and the journey You were to explore
At times You found it difficultwhen You could not find Your way.You would say..
I don't know where I'm goingI've never been before
You closed Your eyes and talked of dreams and love.
You gave Us warm smiles, as You prepared Us, for Your journey, to Heaven above.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning,
At the time, We would be doing Your personal cares and turning.
You opened Your eyes and took five long paused breaths,
You gave us that look to say, this is My time, I'm going, I need to rest.
You looked so peaceful,
No pain, no worries, just beautiful.
We knew God had come to You and said,
Carol, You have been so brave and true,
Come now, and meet up with Mike, and Other Family and Friends who are in Heaven waiting for You.
A couple of hours after Your passing, a robin appeared and sat on the home gate,
We took this as sign from Dad, it was fate.
His presence said do not worry, Your Mum is safe and now with Me
He looked at Us, and gave a knowing look to say be proud, be strong, it was meant to be
You often talked about how We would know you had reached Your destination,
On the second day of your passing, there was a sign hovering just above the ground.
A butterfly, fluttering, lingering,.. a message You sent us..
When You knew We would be around.
Mum, Grandma,
You were always helping, and now You are sending guidance from above,
Giving Us the reassurance, that We are surrounded by Your love.
We want to Thank You for confirming that You are there,
At just the time, We all needed that little extra bit of care.

A year has passed since you closed your eyes and went to rest.
It is true God, only does take the very best.

We love and miss you so much Mommy . You are the wind beneath our wings, our absolute rock who made everything OK. Your love, compassion, empathy support, understanding and selflessness will remain with us forever. Our absolute hero always and forever and we love and miss you deeply. This is a poem for Our Mum and Grandma, who was admitted to hospital 1 year ago on the 4th June 2020, as her health declined.

She went into hospital with trust and hope, and I feel these words capture this time for her.

You may see me struggle,
but you won't see me fall.
Regardless if I'm weak or not,
I'm going to stand tall.
They says life is easy,
but truly living it is not.
Times get hard,
people struggle
and you get put on the spot.
I'm going to wear the biggest smile,
even though I want to cry.
I'm going to fight to live,
even though I'm destined to die.
And even though it's hard
and I may struggle through it all,
you will not see me fall.

When your Mum dies
It doesn't matter how old you are.
You still feel like an orphan because
Youv'e lost your guiding star.

Mum was the one we always turned to
Whenever anything went wrong.
She's the one who cleaned our skinned knees
And chased nightmares away with a song.
She was there to celebrate
With us, all the important days
Like birthdays, and holidays,
And our very first day of school.

It was easy to take Mum for granted
Because you knew she'd always be there,
Until the day that she wasn't,
And we discovered life truly wasn't fair.

So now every day we take a moment
to remember the best things about her,
Like Mum's gentle hands and open arms,
And how close we all were.

Thinking of Mum on this day above any other.
Because we have a wonderful reason to
