In memory of
Edie Jacobson Dorosin Kirkwood
August 30, 2025
Carole and I were good friends during our Stanford years. She was my main of honor at my home wedding to David Dorosin in November, 1968.
I just discovered her via this obituary. Bringing back old lovely and fun memories.

When I knew Carole in our Stanford days, YES, she was a dynamo. We considered moving to NYC together -- but other events occurred! Carole was a Maid of Honor at my home wedding to David Dorosin, November, 1968..

OMG. I did not discover this news till now. I had the great fun of being a guest with my partner (we were tv comedy writers) on Carole's radio shows at KABC and KGIL as a sort of new years' eve "tradition" starting around 1974, and going into the 80's. She became a friend... and of course we lost touch. Sorry to see her go. Great, great personality, lovely person. RIP Carole!

you are missed and thought of often.
So happy you were in my life. Missed the matzo ball soup
on Passover.

Just saw you on an episode of Columbo, and was curious if you were a real radio personality. My search turned up your passing; so sorry. You were quite the lady; Rest In Peace.

My lovely partner in crime in an effort to make Jewish holidays delicious and fun for kids and grownups alike. She was the most “alive” person I have ever known. Our condolences to Fred Dan and John and their families

Carole was one of my favorites on KABC. I was listening to Carole when the news come in that John Lennon had been killed. She talked us through the tragedy that night. Thank you, Carole, for all you gave your listeners. We will never forget you.

She truly was a force of nature....
She was also a wonderful cook, and made the best matzo ball soup.
I will miss our conversations, you always brought so much to the table.

I knew Carole well and liked her enormously. She was gifted, bright, funny, creative, caring and in all ways memorable. Our friendship had lapsed, the way friendships sometimes do for no particular reason. Her death saddens me.

Carole was my speech coach when I was at Best Buddies International. A kind, warm, and encouraging mentor and friend.
I've always felt inspired by what she taught me and I'll always remember the things she taught me. She helped me become a more confident and well-spoken writer and speaker.
I'll always remember her and the things she taught me.
