Carole Jonesi Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 29, 2025.
Carole Troy Jonesi, 90, loving mother of David (Lori), Gary (Fran), and Linda; cherished grandmother/Nana to Jason (Becky), Alison (Todd), Alexander (Amanda), and Ian; beloved great-grandmother/Gigi to Maizy, Myles, and Isla; dear sister of the late Alan Troy (Bettina), and many dear cousins.

Carole was a Chicago Public School elementary teacher, avid bridge player and reader, and an all-around lover of life. She was a very special woman who made friends wherever she went. Above all, she deeply loved her family and took great joy in spending time with them.

Carole's family is deeply grateful for the excellent care and wonderful sense of community that she received at Belmont Village in Buffalo Grove, where she enjoyed many activities and friendships.

Carol was always a friendly fixture at all Ruby and Larry´s gatherings. She will always have a warm spot in my hearts and feel that it was a blessing to have known her. Rest in peace Carol.

I TAUGHT WITH CAROL AT VON HUMBOLDT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN CHICAGO IN 1974. SHE WAS A DEAR FRIEND AND SUPPORTED ME THRU MY DIVORCE HELPING ME WITH MY TWO BOYS. WE MAINTAINED A CLOSE FRIEND SHIP EVEN AFTER I MOVED TO FLORIDA IN 1995. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL PERSON AND WILL BE TRULY MISSED . I TALKED TO HER A FEW MONTHS AGO AND SOOO HAPPY I DID

Carole and my mom Evonne Davis were friends for many years. I loved talking to Carole and was so sad she had gotten so ill. She came to see mom at Alden last June and it was so wonderful to see her. We loved her! She will be so missed. May her memory be a blessing. Condolences to Gary, David and Linda and their families.
