Caroline GENDRON Obituary
1965 - 2013
Caroline, a devoted and much-loved pivot nurse at the Cedars Breast Clinic, Royal Victoria Hospital, died peacefully on March 18, 2013 in Montreal, leaving us the memory of her joie de vivre. She is survived by her cherished daughter Ariane and her loving companion Jean-Marc, as well as her parents Janine and Michel, her sister Sylviane, her brother Martin and her grandmother Gabrielle Caza. Friends and family are invited to express their condolences beginning at 1:00 p.m. and then attend a brief memorial service at 2:30 p.m., followed by a reception, on Friday, March 29, 2013 at

Caroline, Ariane and Jean-Marc would like to express their profound gratitude to the medical staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital, the Montreal General Hospital, the Montreal Chest Institute, and especially the Cedars Breast Clinic, the Oncology Day Centre and the Palliative Care Unit, for their professional and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, it was Caroline's wish that donations in her memory be made as will be explained at the memorial service.

I worked with Caroline in the Oncology Day Centre for only a few months but was always impressed by her devotion to patient care.
She was an example of all that is good in our health care system and will be missed by many. My condolences to her family.

Mes très cinsères condoléances à la famille de Caroline. J'ai eu le plaisir de travailler avec Caroline pendant plusieurs années avant ma retraite. Toujours souriante, prète à donner d'elle-même, un super modèle de ce qu'est une vrai infirmière. Que tous les beaux souvenirs qu'elle vous a laissés vous réconfortent et la gardent toujours dans vos coeurs.

Caroline was a role model for all nurses who work with cancer patients. She was not only highly skilled, but always empathetic, kind, and a wonderful patient advocate. She will be missed so much. My deepest condolences to her family.
