In memory of
Bill and Mary Rowan
January 10, 2025
My first memory of Caroline was her as my husband´s tax client in 2010. Long before I met her in person, I was impressed that she went to Japan every year, and that she visited other countries and traveled many places in the states.
There were so many moments that were special. In 2023, I accompanied her on a trip to Japan to visit her beloved friend, Kyohei Sakuda. On the flight there, all the flight attendants had signed a birthday card for her. It was so lovely to see how her smile and special compliments made them feel.
On another trip, Caroline was staying with us at our timeshare in Las Vegas. I had cooked dinner, and her reaction to my spaghetti sauce was wonderful. With her complements, I really thought I was ready to be on the Food Network.
Caroline reminded me that in womanhood, we smile, laugh and cry, but we are fierce.
Something I learned from Caroline was to live life to the fullest at every age, and to remember the specialness of every individual.
