Loretta H. Gess

Loretta H. Gess, 72, of Tionesta, Pa., formerly of Natrona and Leechburg, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at her home in Tionesta. She was born Dec. 6, 1945, in Natrona, daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Krasinski) Sosinski. She married her late husband of 45 years, Clifford A. "Arlie" Gess Jr., Feb. 10, 1972, in New Kensington. He preceded her in death April 28, 2017. Loretta worked as an x-ray technician at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh until her retirement. She was Catholic by faith and enjoyed country living. She is survived by her brother, John A. Sosinski and his wife, Beth, of Lower Burrell; two sisters, Marcella E. Novak, of Lower Burrell, and Clara M. Sosinski, of Natrona; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companions, Holly and Cocoa. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Sosinski; and her sister, Dorothy Sosinski.
There will be no public visitation. All services held will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the NORMAN J. WIMER FUNERAL HOME of Tionesta.
