Carolyn Delys FLANNER

What a privilege to know this amazing woman, I just wish I met her earlier before she got sick. Whilst in Mt Martha she was always proud to be a great walker and told me many times that she walks faster than anyone! Always happy and friendly until she got really sick and couldn't walk etc. She loved my dog Jemmy very much and always asked about her. We will miss you very much, special lady!

To my beautiful, brave, vivacious Mum. I will miss you greatly. What an amazing & extraordinary life you have lived. During our last four years together, when the roles reversed, I discovered a whole new world. You graciously & gratefully provided me with the chance to truly love you unconditionally. You have opened my heart to a deep, compassionate love of which I have never experienced. Your humor, your sweetness, your gentleness & your singing has melted my heart.

The opening words I chose to speak for Mum at her funeral were:

"From tiny towns to immense cities, listen in as I revisit the stage of my life and my performances.
I am humbled to be afforded such kindness from loved ones and strangers afar.
I have learned the value of so many unexpected journeys. These people and places remain very deep inside my heart".


To My fair Lady, it surely is true, "There is no business like show business"! We have "Danced all night" and we have "Climbed every mountain". Mum, may you always listen to the sweet "Sound of music" .

Relatives and friends of the late Mrs. Carolyn Delys Flanner are advised that her Funeral Service is appointed to take place at the Doveton Park Funeral Centre, 1251 Doveton Street North, Ballarat on TUESDAY April 17, 2018 commencing at Ten-thirty (10:30) am. A burial will take place at the Streatham Cemetery 3770 Eurambeen Streatham Road, Streatham at 2.00pm.
