Carolyn Landry

Carolyn Strange Landry, born on January 28 1965, in Dallas Texas, passed away on Good Friday, April 18 2025 due to complications from Multiple Sclerosis. She was 60 years old. Diagnosed with MS in 1987, at the age of 22, she went on to attend college, got married, had children, and worked in the oil industry as a graphic designer, until worsening MS symptoms made it difficult for her to continue her career.

Carolyn graduated from St. Pius X High School in Houston in 1983 then went on to earn an Associate's Degree from the Art Institute of Houston in September 1987 in Visual Communications. Upon graduation she worked at Cameron Iron Works in Houston as a Graphic Designer and several other firms in the Houston area.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gregory Landry, whom she married on July 30, 1988. Carolyn was a devoted mother to her son, Alexander Lee Landry, and daughter, Lindsay Marie Landry. Carolyn is survived by her mother, Mathilda Henzler Strange and by her four sisters, Stephanie Bascon, Amie Strange, Jennifer Strange, and Valerie Litts. She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Lee Strange.

In her personal life, Carolyn was an active member of her church, Prince of Peace Catholic Community, having participated in several women's bible study groups.

Carolyn will be remembered as a loving mother and wife who always had a smile on her face and never complained about her illness even though MS left her bed ridden for over 20 years.
