Of Homewood, departed peacefully on February 7, 2011. She leaves to cherish her memory loving brother, Artis J. Mitchell (Connie). She was the caring aunt of Daimeon J. Mitchell; also many other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m. SPRIGGS & WATSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 720 N. Lang Ave., E.E, where services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. Interment Homewood Cemetery.

The only braver person I've ever known was her mother, Ollie, who fought to save her life and permit her soul on earth such comfort as was possible. And to Artis, her brother and helpmate these many years, well done.
