Miss you, Mima! I thank you for welcoming my mother and I into this family and for loving Miah all the time. We shared so many little moments that I will always cherish. I remember when I used to help her in the kitchen and make a huge mess.
We used to make cake and pie for Christmas and I don't think I can bake properly without her. Her last present she got me was my bicycle and I love it very much so thanks for the bicycle.

"Words will never be enough to explain to anyone just how much my Auntie meant to me. Along with my mom, she was my world. She had the voice of an angel. I use to love to hear her sing through out the day. She could up lift any ones spirit just by smiling at them. I'll just be waiting on the day that I get to hear her voice once again. She will forever be a part of me. I love you Aunt Carolyn with all of my heart and soul".

Not only were you the First Lady, but became a great friend to my family. U were a beautiful person inside and out. Always willing to lend a helping hand for whatever was needed. You opened ur home to us a many days. I will always cherish those moments and the great meals especially the GERMAN CHOC CAKE!! Sister Mitchell was always one to tell u like it is and didn't hold back. Lol. Pastor Mitchell would always say "CAROLYN!!" And then she would be quiet. Lol. I thank God for bringing u guys into my life, home and church. Your presence will truly be missed. (Remember "fight nights") The men would be watching boxing and u and I knocked out sleep!! Sleep on my friend!! One day we shall meet again

To the Mitchell's, it's so hard for us to say good bye to sister Mitchell, but she ran a good race. Sister Mitchell really showed me how to be a good wife and a good mother, when me and James first got married We went through a lot of finance problems, but she told me to hang in there and always pray about everything. She always had the right things to say to me good words and some I didn't want to here, but I knew she was right about everything because here I am with my loving husband today.
Thanks Sister Mitchell!!!
Good night! See you in the Morning!

Dear Dad, Mom will be missed very much!! Mom was like a mother to me & a great friend. I can truly say!She gave me advice or pulled my ear if needed (literally) She took my Sammie in this family like she was her blood. And loved her like one of her own. She always made sure Sam was doing well, wether in school or her personal life. I will always treasure that in my heart! Let's not leave Miah out?!? That was Mom's truly baby,(Mima's baby) like she would say! I will miss watching Mom with a smile from side 2 side when she looked at Miah. The way she loved Miah was beyond! I was always in awe at them both when I saw them together, wether talking to each other or her just hugging her....It was pure bliss! God blessed me with an awesome mother-in-law that did not see me as a daughter-in-law, but like her daughter. And I saw & loved her like a mother! Words cannot express Dad how much we are sorry for your loss. We are going to miss her dearly. From her singing, her phone calls, her love for the grandkids & her delicious food that she so loved to make even if sometimes she was not feeling good. Sorry for hogging up the page?!? We love you Dad, thank you for being there for my Sam & Miah. God bless you always. With love The Mitchell-Silverberg Vargas Familia

Your life was truly blessed with your marriage to Carolyn. Michael, after 47 years of wedded bliss I am sure you shared many joyful moments with her. Just take heart in knowing that the Heavenly Father will bless your union with her in heaven once again and she will be singing to you all the way through the pearly gates--remember she sung her way down the aisle to you when you two married 47 years ago. Be Blessed my cousin. Dr. Sylvia Jefferson Clark

We have this hope that burns with in our hearts. Hope of the coming of our Lord. To Pastor Mitchell, your children, grandchildren and the rest of Carolyn's family. We are sad that she is no longer with us, but we have the hope that if we are faithful we will see her again in the resurrection.
