I didn't have the benefit of being in Carolyn's inner circle. I was introduced to her through our son's soccer team, both travel and school. What everyone knew is the home that this woman created was one that every kid gravitated towards. Hospitality was effortless for her. It was just in her DNA that everyone should feel and be welcome. There were lots of cordial visits with Carolyn during those many events and trips on behalf of our son's soccer but one night stood out in particular. Carolyn and I were assigned to run the concession stand during a high school game. This one on one opportunity made all the difference. I spent that night learning all about her own childhood and medical career. She was open and shared without hesitation. I love that we had that night and I love that her life wasn't about the tragedies but about the triumphs. Carolyn did triumph. Her marriage to David and their amazing children bear witness. Peace be with your, Carolyn Riggs.

Our sons, both named Ryan, were great friends when we all lived on the same street in Mount Pleasant,SC. I´d say they were inseparable . Carolyn treated my children like they were her own. She was such a special person and everyone loved her. You could never find a more genuine and kind person and I felt lucky to even know her, much less be friends with her. Man, that woman could bake!! We lived for her annual batch of Christmas cookies, all so meticulously crafted. To this day, I still have her handwritten pound cake recipe. The day she and the family moved to Florida was a sad one. Carolyn, you will be sorely missed by all who knew you. I was so happy to have a few good conversations with you through Facebook in the last few years. You were a true gem!

Dr Ripp was the sweetest, kindest, most caring person I´ve ever known. I worked for her for a few years and she was the best I´ve ever worked for. RIP Dr Ripp. I love you!

My second mother, that treated me like her own children, but not just me villages of her children's friends! Thank you for the long talks late at night into early morning and all the wisdom and all the breakfasts you imparted on us! Sending air hugs!

The absolute sweetest woman. She has done nothing but loved my family and I unconditionally. Sending love to the Riggs during this time <3
