Carolyn...we were cheerleaders together in Junior High(!)... we had FUN in those days! She had the brightest smile that lit up every space. Warm, carrying, giving and funny, her vibrant personality will always be remembered and cherished. What a beautiful family she and Ron created. What a wonderful tribute to her written here. A wonderful life, well lived, well loved. May her name always be a blessing and spoken often. Peace and comfort to Ron and all the family.

I was one of the seven people lucky enough to call Carolyn my Granny. Growing up, Granny and Papa were basically my bonus parents; picking me up from Preschool and sleepovers on the weekends, time with Granny was always a blast. She was an amazing woman who always had an animal or a child in her arms. Over the last year and a half, my husband and I have had the privilege of living with her and Papa. I would not trade anything for the precious time with her I was blessed with. Even in her declines toward the end of her life, she stole the hearts of everyone around her. I´m grateful she is at peace, and up in heaven able to do all the things she lost her abilities for toward the end of her life. Forever missed, never forgotten.

A beautiful soul inside and out. I was excited when Carolyn and her family moved around the corner from us in Vermilion bc it meant there were finally Girls to play with! The happiest moments of my childhood were spent playing with Carolyn and Robin, Mark and Tim.
Rest well, sweet and lovely friend.

Carolyn made my kids and I feel like family from day one. I met her when her brother Jason and I married. I didn't even meet her until my wedding day, but still she drove the 5 or so hours to see us get married. It meant a lot to us that she did that. She became my sister too that day and what I remember most is how funny she was. Just a joy to be around. Always seemed to be fussing around taking care of everyone else. I am so glad I got to know her for the short time that I did (13 years was not enough). I also want to express my condolences to her beautiful girls and her amazing husband. She was a blessing and will be missed.

I first met Carolyn when she was my son´s (Nate) aide in the MH and she was wonderful with all the students. I eventually started substitute teaching and whenever we could, we would have lunch together and swap stories of our families. I was also able to enjoy co-teaching with her when I subbed in the FHS MH unit. Carolyn always had my respect and appreciation for how she treated all the students and cared for each and every one.
