Carolyn Ann (Williams) Thorn, 77, of Sandyville, WV, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, following a brief illness.
She was born October 30, 1943, in Ripley, WV, a daughter of the late Anna Bell Williams. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
Carolyn was a proud 1963 graduate of Ripley High School. In her earlier years, she worked at the Alpine Restaurant in Ripley and then became a homemaker taking care of her family. She enjoyed reading her bible, word search puzzles, reading the local newspaper along with the Parkersburg Newspaper, decorating her home for the holidays, and listening to southern gospel music.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Dan Thorn; son, Joseph Thorn of Sandyville; special little girl, Rachel Rose Thorn and one brother, William Paul Weekley of Ripley.
Services will be private. She will be laid to rest at the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.

I am Mary Milhoan's dau. Mom passed away in Nov. {Nov.6} her and Carolyn phoned each other often and had been friends ever since we lived on Drift Run My bro. Joe went toGilmore at the same time as you,Joe. my prayers go out for you both,and her brother also.Rest in The Lord and take care of each other.
