My mother is the greatest gift I've ever been given. The essence of my mother was all-loving, all-accepting, and all-forgiving. She was the most open, non-judgemental, compassionate, gentle and patient person I've ever known. She loved all of her children uniquely but equally and most of all uncondtionally. My mother was a striking woman. She was beautiful - so elegant - so gracious. She had exquisite taste and was enormously generous. But what made her really classy was her incredible ability to connect with anyone anywhere at anytime from a nail technician to a homemaker in CT to a CEO. She was so open: so easy to know and to love. My mother was also a perfectionist of the highest order. Coupled with her patient demenor, it made for a very rare combonation. She was a strong womenn, a brave women. I know she suffered during her illness and that was so hard to watch. But she never complained. "Tomorrow is another day," she would say. She was and will always be my very best friend, my soulmate. There are certain thoughts and feelings that find expression only in the language of the heart. Mom, you are tucked away in my heart forever. I love you so much and I will miss you forever. Rest in peace. You so richly deserve it. Love, Kathyrn Ruth

Mrs. Thorsen was an elegant lady, with such grace, that filled a room. No doubt she will be missed dearly by her friends, family and 3 lovely daughters. How lucky we all are to have such fond memories. May she rest in peace.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
