Joe Stump

Joe Stump, 62, died Jan. 14, 2008, at his home. He was born in Sidney, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach and Burt Lake, Mich., for five years, coming from Toledo, Ohio. He retired from Libbey Glass in 2003. He was a member of Vero Beach Country Club and the Indian River Golf Club in Indian River, Mich., past president of the South Cove Condominium Association and served on the board of directors of the Burt Lake Cottagers Association. He received his bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Suzanna Stump of Vero Beach and Burt Lake; daughter, Debra Stump of Jamaica Plain, Mass.; son, Jeffrey Stump of Winchester, Mass.; sisters, Ann Spillers of Sidney, Ohio, and Nancy Rismiller of Greenville, Ohio; brother, Jim Stump of Cookville, Tenn.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Stump. SERVICES: A memorial service will be at noon Jan. 19 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
