Witt, Carolyn "Rusty"

In Loving Memory of Carolyn "Rusty" Witt, age 85, of Mesa, AZ. Reunited in death with her cherished husband, Ollie Oscar Witt, Rusty passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024. Rusty is survived by her children Ollie Douglas Witt (Joanne), Lucien Victor Witt (Kelli), Lucy Ann Witt Whitsell and partner Harold Bone, as well as 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Rusty was born in Mangum, KY on November 25, 1938. She met her husband Ollie in Cincinnati, OH where they had their two sons, Doug and Luke, and spent many happy years in their home dubbed as Witt's End. Rusty met Lucy at a guitar class in the 1970's in Cincinnati, and she and Ollie took her under their wings as a daughter. Rusty and Ollie eventually retired to Mesa, AZ where they enjoyed spending time with friends and family in their tight-knit community at Broadway Estates. A prolific singer-songwriter, Rusty loved writing, performing and listening to music and passed this love to her children, grandchildren and beyond. She loved gardening, dancing and riding her tricycle around her community in Mesa.

A memorial service will be held at Broadway Estates Community Center in the fall. With love and gratitude to all that knew and loved her as much as we did, Doug, Joanne, Jeffrey, Jaclyn, Luke, Kelli, Delilah (James), Fiona (Dillon), Lorraina, Wilson, Matilda, Susannah, Lucy, Eddie, Angela, Vanessa (Justin), Sharon and Eric.
