Carolyn Mary Woodling

Carolyn Mary Woodling, 86, of Montgomery, Alabama, was called to her eternal rest on March 16, 2024. Born on December 29, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was a woman of deep faith, abundant kindness, and unwavering love for her family.

Carolyn is survived by her devoted sons, Patrick (Shirley), Michael (Sadie), Dennis, and Darren (Karol); her cherished "daughter" Amanda (Randy); and her treasured grandchildren, Patrick, Mary, Michelle, Carrie, Grayson, Josh, Liam, Caroline, and great-grandchildren, Maggie, Ginny, and Sadie. She was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of over 65 years, Thomas Charles Woodling, who predeceased her in December 2021.

A graduate of St. Joseph's High School and Fontbonne University, both in St. Louis, Carolyn served with dedication at the Lamplighter Dinner Theater and the State of Alabama Immunization Department. Her commitment to her community was evident through her active participation in the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Catholic Women's Society, and the Halcyon Neighborhood Association. She also brought joy to many through her unique role as "Mommy the Swami" on News Talk 93.1.

Carolyn's life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on April 20, 2024, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Vaughn Rd. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Carolyn's memory to the Dominican Monastery of St. Jude, Marbury, Alabama.

Carolyn will be laid to rest beside her husband at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Her gentle spirit and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
