Carrie was my sister, Alice's, sweet mother-in-law. I met Carrie and Ed when Ron and Alice began dating in high school back in the early 60's (and THERE is a story!) and it was always such an honor and a genuine pleasure to share in the holidays with or simply visit with Carrie and Ed -anytime- over coffee. Ed could tell 'thee best' fishing and hunting stories- bar none!- and Carrie was, without a doubt, 'thee most' gracious hostess- and could that woman COOK! You couldn't go to Carrie's home but what she wanted to feed you. Carrie has gone on now to be with her Lord and Saviour and family members that she loved and missed, but she leaves behind a vibrant legacy of so many warm and wonderful memories of her that I will always cherish. Carrie was a fine Christian woman who couldn't tell a lie, never met a stranger and she always had a good word to say about everybody. She always greeted me, my family, and others, with her sweet smile and a warm hug! She was an amazing woman who touched a lot of lives and set a remarkable example of how we should all live. She was truly a compassionate, loving, caring, gracious and kind hearted woman besides being a hard worker and a model housekeeper, and over the years we had so much FUN as a family together! I am thankful and will always be deeply grateful that Carrie was a part of my life. I will miss her terribly. My heartfelt condolences to Ronnie and the rest of the family...
