BELLS - Funeral services for Lois Craft, 95, of Bells will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Mr. Howard Horton of Bells Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.
Lois passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at the home of her daughter Raylene and son-in-law in Bells. The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Lois was born on Oct. 11, 1915 at home in the country near Sherman to J. W. and Josie Myers Speed. Lois married Walter Ray Craft, Feb. 2, 1935 and lived on Craft Road most of her married life on their dairy farm. She found time between milking to sew for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and made the most wonderful rolls for family and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Walter Ray Craft; parents; brothers Jack and Charlton Speed; sisters Ruth Trim and Grace Hull; children Marie Youree Jordan, Dale Craft, Johnnie Craft, and Wanda Rae Craft, sons-in-law Bill Youree and John Bassett; grandchild Warren Craft; and great-grandchild Jeremy Craft.
She is survived by daughters Sandra Bassett of Bells, and Raylene Gray and husband Curtis of Bells; daughters-in-law Pat Hook and husband Maxey of Greenville, Carol Sue Craft of Bells; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 great-greatgrandchildren and special friend Margareta Hildebrand. Music will be provided by her grandson Jeff Youree.
Pallbearers will be Curtiss Gray, Brian Gray, Clayton Craft, Scott Verzi, Mark Youree and Steve Youree. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Templeton, Jerry Pedigo, Charlie Moore, and Buggs Brown.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Lois' name to the Bells Church of Christ, P.O. Box 576, Bells, TX 75414 or the charity of your choice.
The family of Lois would like to express our deepest thanks to the nurses and aides of Heart to Heart Hospice who gave very loving care to her.
