Carroll R. Baker

I´ve known "Bake" for over 50 years and served with him on Active Duty in the Navy on three different occasions.He was a great shipmate and always had us laughing and cutting up when we were around him. One of his famous sayings right after he attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer was...."There they go, I am their leader, I must hasten after them." For the past several years myself and Navy First Class Petty Officer Lanny Haley would meet with him twice a year for a Navy Gaggle at one of our favorite restaurants. Two or three hours later we would finally get around to leaving after many laughs and funny stories. We are going to miss our dear friend and shipmate. God rest your soul Carroll and I´ll see you in heaven.
