Carroll R. French

Carroll R. French passed away on July 13, 2012. He was born in Ellwood City, PA on August 7, 1924 to William and Bertha French. Carroll proudly served his country in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He worked as an executor for Guttman Industry in Brooklyn and retired in the 90's. Carroll is survived by his wife, Alice; his loving son Ron and his wife Luisa of New City. Carroll will be missed dearly by his grandchildren Elisa and her husband Jeff Beaudette, Christopher and his wife Nicole, and Samantha French; and his great grandchildren Alexandra, Charlotte, and James Beaudette. Also surviving is his brother Robert of Colorado, his sister Eileen Snyder of Williamsport, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Carroll is predeceased by his first wife, Viola. Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, 10:15am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joe Raso Hospice Residence, 415 Buena Vista Road, New City, NY 10956.
