Caryl Lee Burton

PARKMAN Twp. — Caryl Lee Burton, age 71, of Parkman Twp., died Sunday morning, July 6, 2008, at her residence after a lengthy illness.Born April 6, 1937, in California, Pa., she was the daughter to Robert and Janet (Cowell) Hammond, and was a graduate of California High School. She lived in the Parkman Twp. area since 1985.Caryl worked at General Book Binding in Chesterland for 20 years and was a terrific homemaker.She also enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting.Survivors include her husband, Dotson of 53 years; children, Lynn Burton Nelson of Parkman Twp., Dotson, II of Huntsburg; Don (Rosie) of Parkman Twp., and Bob (Jackie) of Salem; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind scores of friends.A picnic for family and friends to celebrate Caryl’s life will be held Saturday, July 12, from 12 noon until 3 p.m., at the family residence, 17115 Madison Road, Parkman Twp.
