McCullough Marge

Marge McCullough, 93, of Clovis, died Dec. 2, 2005, at Laurel Ridge Healthcare.

She was born Jan. 10, 1912, in Olathe, Kan., to Dr. Lloyd and Mamie LaRock Hamill.

She came to Clovis as a bride in 1934 from Kansas City, Mo., where she married Jack W. McCullough of Clovis. She was a laboratory and x-ray technician and worked for many years at Clovis Memorial Hospital, the old Santa Fe Hospital and for Dr. Michele DeMaio. She went to Eastern New Mexico University after retiring and received a bachelor's degree in biology and an master's degree in psychology and personal services. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir for 25 years. She was also active in assisting with youth organizations that include 30 years with the Girl Scouts, Order of Rainbow for Girls, and church groups.

She was a member of the Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does and was the Supreme (national) President in 1965-66. She belonged to Clovis Drove No. 108, B.P.O. Does.

She also was past president of the Business and Professional Women, a member of the American Association of University Women, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, AARP and the League of Women Voters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack McCullough in 1973; and her parents.

Survivors include a daughter, Jaquie Blaylock (and husband, Dale) of Clovis; grandchildren, Kerry Parks (John), Patty Miller (Martin), and Jeff Blaylock (Jenny); great-granddaughters, Alisa and Jennifer Parks, Aumanda and Sonya Blaylock, and Jacqueline and Amber Miller; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Lance Clemmons will officiate.

A graveside ceremony will be conducted by members of Clovis Drove No. 108, B.P.O. Does.

Burial will take place at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranches, or to a favorite charity.
