My heartfelt condolences are offered to the family, many, many friends, colleagues and devoted army fans of Casey Benjamin. Casey Benjamin was a Grammy Award-winning saxophonist, an original member of the Robert Glasper Experiment, and a vocoder wizard who influenced jazz-based hip hop and R&B. He was greatly admired by many fellow artists and all those who knew him. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by him. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Casey Benjamin. May his music and legacy keep his memory alive forever. Thank you for Casey Benjamin's contribution to the Jazz and R&B industry.

Thank you for sharing your talent at the DJF. My daughter shared who you were "the person to see and hear". Shared that you were very kind and of course very cool. I thank you for extending your kindness to young musicians.

Casey, I will never forget hearing you play with the Grammy High School Jazz Band at USC. Your sound touched me then as it has over the years of your recording with Robert Glasper, Stephon Harris and more. I am thankful that Stephon encouraged me to come up and speak with you at the 2019 Central Avenue Jazz Festival in Los Angeles. Thank you for being gracious to speak with me before your set and for all of the incredible music you have left us. Sending my deepest sympathies to all who are grieving your transition. Gods Speed to you.
