Casey Eckert Obituary
March 1, 2017. He was born September 8, 2001 in Greenville, the son of Darryl and Heather (Thomas) Eckert. Casey was a student at Tri county High School, where he was involved in three sports, Football, Basketball and Baseball. He loved fishing, tubing, and video games, where his screen name was OHCHERRYY. Casey was passionate about graphic design and Michigan State. He attended Grace Community Church. Surviving are his parents, Darryl and Heather Eckert of Howard City, Grandparents Harold and Elaine Eckert of Big Rapids,
Ross and Deb Thomas of Howard City. Brothers, Chase Eckert of LeRoy,
Chandler Eckert of Grand Rapids, and sister Cierra Eckert of Howard City, as well as his many friends that he touched during his life. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 11AM at Grace Community Church, 9920 Reed Rd. Howard City, with Pastors Joel Cooper and Jorge Ballivian officiating with burial in the Reynolds Cemetery. The family will greet friends at Grace Community church in Monday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm and prior to services on Tuesday.

I've known Casey for a long time he was in my grade and a lot of my classes. I remember he messed around a lot in 5th grade. We had this game where we'd play tag throughout the whole day just sneaking up on each other in class. Soon we got more people involved having them touch one of us for the other. It went on for days. I still don't remember who ended up winning. He was full of mischief and always laughing. He was someone that everyone was glad to see because he put everyone in a good mood with his jokes and his tricks. He was just always a joy to be around. I wish we would have stayed close after elementary school, but that's okay because he'll still always live in in my memories and yours.
