Casey Oliver

Lifetime Mitchell County resident Paul E. (Casey) Oliver passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012,at Kristie Manor. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 24,2012 at 2 p.m. at Kiker-Seal Chapel.
Casey was born in Colorado City on February 3, 1936 to Curtis and Sophia Oliver. He had 4 siblings, Geneva Redwine, Mary Jo Self, Henry C. Oliver and Nell Key. He worked in the oil field and for rancher Les Terry until he went to work for Texas Electric where he worked for 31 years until his retirement in 1988.
Casey is survived by his daughter, Gaye Oliver Pierce and husband Eddie, and a son, John Leslie Oliver and wife Jona.Four grandchildren, Cale, Shannon and Curtis Pierce and Emily Oliver, one sister, Nell Key, numerous nephews and nieces and many friends including former wife and mother of his children,Corrine Fuller. In addition to his immediate children he enjoyed his stepchildren Debra Erwin Zschiesche and husband Gene. Their children Heather and Cliff Halvorson, Mitzi and Matt May, Chad and Deidra Zschiesche and host of Step grandchildren. In addition, he survived by a step grandson Troy Don Erwin and wife Christie Dillard Erwin and children. He was preceded in death by his wife , Mary Oliver, parents Curtis and Sophia Oliver, one son Curtis Wayne Oliver, step son Jerry Erwin, sisters Geneva Redwine and Mary Jo Self and brother Henry C. Oliver.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to staff at Kristie Lee Manor, Home Hospice and special friends Cecil and Joyce Hale for the loving tender care given during Casey's illness.
