Cassidy Kachel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 12, 2024.
Cassidy Joseph Kachel, lovingly known as Cas, was born on October 19, 1983, in Colorado but grew up in Castro Valley, California. He left us too soon on June 26, 2024, in Manteca, California, at the age of 40.

Cassidy was a true outdoors enthusiast, finding joy in riding dirt bikes, Harleys, jet skis, camping, wake-surfing; the list could go on. However, his heart truly belonged to the Delta, where he spent countless days and nights on his boat, creating cherished memories. His adventurous spirit and love for living "fast and reckless" brought him immense happiness and friendships of all different types.

One of Cassidy's superpowers was his ability to be the life of the party. With an old soul that attracted people from all walks of life, he effortlessly made friends wherever he went. His magnetic personality and warm presence left a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to know him.

Cassidy's proudest accomplishment was overcoming childhood cancer, displaying his resilience and strength. He believed that "when in life you don't get what you want, you get experience." He lived every day with the goal to experience life to the fullest.

Cassidy is survived by his mother, Connie Copenhaver, his beloved wife Elisha, and his sister Randi McIntyre and her husband Kevin. He will be deeply missed by his step-sons, Covey and Leesyn, as well as his nephews Benjamin, Zachary, and Stetson.

In addition to his personal connections, Cassidy was involved in various community organizations. He was a member of E Clampus Vitus, multiple chapters, and the Los Gatos Motorcycle Club. His dedication to these groups exemplified his caring nature and commitment to social causes.

Cassidy Joseph Kachel's zest for life, infectious spirit, and unwavering kindness will forever be cherished by those who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and unforgettable memories. May he rest in peace, forever riding through the heavens.

I remember he was in high-school with me in Castro valley. He was gone for a while for his kemo...and I made a welcome back poster we all signed. I ran into Cas in Manteca at a bar back in 2017 or 2018 and he still had that poster in great condition. He was an awesome dude. Stand up all around great guy. My deepest condolences to his family and his wife and kids. No words can express my sorrow. Gone entirely too soon. RIP Cas. We'll never forget you.

I met Cas when he was 18. I have many years of memories with him. Huge chapter in my world. Always loved his kindness. Was so young then. It´s been years. Heart is broken just the same and sending so much love and prayers to all his loved ones.
