Catherine S. Abbas, 72, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on November 3, 2014. She was born on February 9, 1942 to Jesse and Mary Ann Sturdivant.
She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Jay Abbas; her five daughters, Deborah, Pamela, Susanne, Janet and Leslie; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Gene Sturdivant, Ellen Stockstill, Daphine Cooper and Stepmother, Ruby Sturdivant and numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mary Ann Sturdivant and brother, Carl Sturdivant. Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 4-8p.m. in the Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:30a.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.

Cathy was the most loving and giving person I ever met, Cathy was the best , her love was unconditional, she was always there to help no matter how big or small your problem is . Cathy I love you very much rest in peace my sweet friend and sister.
