Catherine P. Brubaker

Catherine P. Brubaker, 93, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2022. She was born on May 30, 1929 to Christopher and Pauline Minier in Phoenix, Arizona. After her parent's death when she was two years old, she was adopted by Christopher's brother, William Minier and his wife Edith. At that time Catherine moved to Toledo.

Catherine had a beautiful voice and was a church soloist for more than 50 years. She enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, china painting, and traveling to all 50 states, Europe and many cruises. One of her favorite yearly trips was to Traverse City, Michigan to visit the wineries, enjoy her favorite restaurants and take in the beautiful scenery.

Over the years, Catherine belonged to a variety of groups and clubs including Ohio State Mothers Club, Mu Sigma Phi, Monday Musicale, Toledo Symphony Chorale, Perrysburg Symphony Chorale, and various garden clubs and women's groups.

Catherine will always be remembered for her love of dressing up, wearing high heels, and driving a mustang into her 90's.

Catherine leaves behind her daughters, Deborah (Herb Hoskins) and Cynthia; and her beloved fur baby, Perry. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Andrew.

The family suggests donations in her memory to the Lucas County Canine Care and Control, for the good work they do as this is where she adopted Perry 10 years ago.
