Ms. Catherine Burks-Brooks was a civil rights activist who joined the Freedom Riders as they campaigned for anti-segregation laws to be enforced in the South. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by her. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes and peace as the world copes with the loss of Ms. Catherine Burks-Brooks. That is the legacy Ms. Catherine Burks-Brooks memorable left behind that will not be forgotten. May family, friends and extended family cherish her memories.

I just want everyone to know Mama was the Best mother ever, and I miss her with all my heart I feel so lost sometime God help me. I miss you mama!

Catherine Burks-Brooks was a American Legend who paved the way and open the doors for Peace & Economic Justice in our world. She will be dearly missed

I wish I could thank this beautiful woman for her sacrifice and courage during her life. A Freedom Rider in life is free from death and she deserves every good word, memory and ounce of love. Thank you, Catherine. May God hold you in his heart.
