Catherine D. Curley

CURLEY, Catherine D. (McLoud) Of Belmont, died Thursday, August 18, 2011 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 89. Catherine, lovingly known to all as "Dot" was born on March 21, 1922 in South Boston, a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Catherine (Tierney) McLoud. She was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School and Burdett Business School in Boston. She and her late husband moved to Belmont in 1954. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Watertown and the Ladies Auxillary of Post #165 American Legion in Belmont. She is predeceased by her husband, James T. Curley and her brother, Thomas F. McLoud Jr. Dot leaves her two daughters, Catherine D. Tessier and her husband, Roy, of Ashland and Patricia A. Curley of Belmont; three grandchildren, James R. Tessier and his wife, Suzanne, of Watertown, Kevin M. Tessier and his wife, Bridget, of South Boston and Lindsey C. Tessier and her fiance, Rob Gentile, both of Whitman and nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass was held in the Sacred Heart Church, Watertown on Monday August 22, 2011. Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory. www.stantonfuneralhome.com
