Ms. Catherine has a special light. She always kept me smiling and dancing. We had wonderful talks on her daughters porch. Her legacy lives on through those who love and cherish.

I met Ms. Catherine at Country Gardens the first day I brought my mother Ethelle there for adult daycare. As my mother sat down at the table directly across from her, Ms. Catherine gave her a smiling smirk with her fist balled up and said "I´m gonna beat you up!" I was shocked thinking this might not be the right place. But, Mama knew what to do, she scrunched up her face and balled up her fist and pronounced "I´m gonna beat you up!!" I´m thinking man I ain´t got time for no geriatric gang fight I´m going to be late for work!! By the time I returned that afternoon those two shaking fist had formed an inseparable bound. Carlissa and I called them Thelma and Louise often joking about them escaping only to find them down the street confused and lost. lol It amazed me how they could navigate through the fog of dementia and find a close and meaningful friendship. I guess if you let the heart lead the way anything is possible. Well Thelma and Louise aka Slick and Slicker are back together again. Forever Friends. May GODS Grace keep them bound together and never lost. I miss you both.

I did not Know Catherine personally, but felt like I did through Carlissa. We would often talk about the enjoyment she got got from sitting on the porch talking to everyone, her love of dance, the wonderful times at the parties Carlissa threw for her or how she was just a really classy lady. I know Carilssa is a wonderful person and friend and that could only come from loving mother. God bless this family and take care of Catherine in Heaven.
