Catherine Fedewa

PEKIN, Il ~ Catherine Louise Fedewa, 65, passed away at 4:42 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2025 at Carle Health Pekin Hospital Emergency Department.

Born April 28, 1959 in Mount Pleasant, Michigan to Robert and Carol (Yuncker) Fedewa, she legally married Roy Goodwin on July 6, 2021 in Pekin. He survives. She is also survived by her parents; three children, Taira Wyman (Robert Reeves Jr.) of Pekin, Samantha (Terrence) Conklin of Kingston, New York and Mark (Beth) Wyman of Troy, New York, stepson Colton Litz (Korrina Lundeen) of Pekin; twelve grandchildren, Kelsey, Isabella, Audrianna, Evelynn, Nevaeh, Hunter Roy, Calvin, Caleb, Celeste, Riley, Markie and Parker, step-grandchild, EmmaLynn Rose; great-grandchild, Delilah; seven siblings, Rob(Rachel) Fedewa, Diane, Gary, Steve(Jennifer) Fedewa, Dan, Tim, and Rhonda and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin and Randy.

Catherine led a career of versatility ranging from home health care, retail, becoming "the singing bus driver", a certified solderer and wiring inspector on computer boards with Cam Tech and a top seller in her communities on Niknax and Whatnot.

She enjoyed fishing, singing and collecting items to sell in her selling communities as well as a fondness for her Funko-Pops. She loved flowers and Betty Boop. She was a secret artist and could draw just about anything her grandchildren asked of her. She could cook or bake anything, and it always turned out amazing. In her late teens and early twenties, she was a singer in a band with friends and was given the nickname "Bird." She was the karaoke queen and could sing any song. Cathy was everyone's best friend, made everyone feel like family, brought out the best in people, and had the best laugh. She loved her family fiercely, and was certainly a golden grandma.

Cathy was a strong, outspoken, forgiving and loving woman with strong morals. Her final act of strength was to reclaim her health and enhance her remaining years with family and regain her once lost independence.

An open house celebration of Cathy's life will be held at Weidman Community Center at 5918 W. Bridge Street in Weidman Michigan on Saturday March 15th, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Interment will take place on Monday March 17th at 1:45 pm at Calvary Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Michigan through Sacred Heart Parish. Cremation services by Preston/Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin Illinois.
