Catherine Gayanne (Gay) Guzman passed away and went to her eternal home on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at her home in Smyrna, Delaware at the age of 77. Gay was born to Alberta and Samuel Dilley in New Jersey. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and began working in the publishing industry, eventually working as an executive secretary for Alcoa Aluminum Co. for close to 30 years. She was married to Wayne Guzman in 1958, and together they raised their two boys, Seth and Josh in Devon, PA, where she lived for over 30 years. They enjoyed summer vacations in Stone Harbor, NJ where she has owned a home since 1983. She spent the last eight years of her life living in Clayton, DE in the same neighborhood as her youngest son and his family.

Gay loved learning about history, and was particularly fond of the Colonial American period. She was well-liked by her co-workers, neighbors, and life-long friends. In her final years, Gay became very active in the life and community of her church, Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Middletown, DE, making many friends and growing in her faith in Christ.

Gay is survived by her son Seth, his wife Shannon and their two children - Ryan and Kati - of Middletown, DE; her son Josh, his wife Jennifer and their three children - Jack, Benjamin, and Alexandra - of Smyrna, DE; and sister Dorothy Balderson of Blackwood, NJ.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 627 Vance Neck Rd, Middletown, DE.
