Catherine Jamieson Obituary
Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday (April 21, 2018) at 11:30 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Watertown, N.Y.
It is requested that memorial donations be made to Newark Manor Nursing Home 222 W. Pearl Street Newark, NY 14513.
Mrs. Jamieson was born on October 27, 1926 in Moorestown. N.J., the daughter of the late Matthew and Catherine Lihotz Lederman. She was a stay at home mother and after raising her children went to work at Marine Midland Bank from where she retired. She was a past Girl Scout leader and enjoyed reading. Mrs. Jamieson was an avid golfer and worked at the Watertown Golf Club with her husband Stuart. They enjoyed wintering in Daytona Beach until Stuart retired and they moved to Florida full time.
She is survived by her children Barbara Strauss of Watertown, Stephen (Diane) Strauss of Newark; step-children Wendell Jamieson of Atlanta Ga., Gretta (David) Storrs of Florida; son-in-law, James McNeff of Alaska; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Carl Strauss; and second husband, Stuart Jamieson; daughter, Patricia McNeff; brothers Joseph and Matthew Lederman.
Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home in Phelps.
