We were so sorry to hear about Cathe's illness and pain. We've always thought very highly of Cathe as a very friendly, kind, happy and loving person. She was always very helpful and had an instant laugh that was delightful. Our sincere condolences to those left behind, especially Dick and Rich. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I remember my Sensei's wife Cathe as a nice lady with a kind, peaceful face. As a kid in karate, waiting for my parents to finish their class, she was happy to chat with me and my friends, giving advise or a band aid, as needed. She seemed to genuinely care for everyone around her. I feel that I only new her for a short time as a kid, but her loving nature was not easily forgotten. I will always remember her fondly.

Aunt Cathe, as I read through the guest book I realize you helped and touched the lives of many in the same way you have touched mine. Sharing your home may not have seemed as having a great impact, but to a couple of teenagers trying to make their way, it meant the world. It is because our paths crossed that I am in Vegas, and it is in Vegas that my life began. I am just one of the many who is blessed to have met you and will remember you always as having a generous heart. I am grateful to you both.
Uncle Dick, my deepest condolences. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am always reminded of Aunt Cathe anytime I see Ninja Turtles action figures, colorful karate belts, Disney movies, poodles, fireworks, Nintendo cartridges, pink scooters, etc. In fact, I am reminded of Aunt Cathe most days of my life.

She was a generous soul - one of the most selfless people I have met - and she had a great impact on my life. Very few people helped shape my personality as much as Aunt Cathe did. I thank her for that; the things she taught me are always in the front of my mind.

One of the finest memories of my childhood was July 4th at her house in the country. The air there was dry and warm (but not hot) and the tall grass had already gotten brown and dry. A bunch of cousins and family came to visit and we had a BBQ with fireworks in the driveway just as the sun was setting. The snake fireworks are the things I remember best which is strange because they aren't the flashiest or noisiest. In a way, I think Aunt Cathe herself is a lot like those snake fireworks. She always acted to help other people feel better about themselves and their abilities. She never wanted fame but she recognized potential in others to do great things. Aunt Cathe helped me to understand that each of us has the power to do anything we are willing to devote ourselves to doing.

Thank you, Aunt Cathe, for all the sacrifices you made for me. I'll try and remember what you taught me and keep you in my thoughts always.

The Levesque's wish to express their deepest heart felt condolences to Sensei, and for all the friends and family of Miss Cathe. I say Miss, only because I remember Cathe always greeting me in the most friendly and fondly way as Mister Tom. I carry on her tradition and greet my students as Mister or Miss. The world has lost an awesome person and a great soul. But heaven is rejoicing, because they've got her now. Our loss is their gain. God bless you Cathe.

Cathe or Aunt Cathe as I have always known her was more than just an aunt and a godmother. She was always my other mother, and I truly believe she helped make me who I am today. She was a guiding light in my life. Some of my first and fondest memories are of Aunt Cathe. From my earliest birthdays to my first trips to Disneyland, she has always been a prominent figure in my life. She introduced me to everything from makeup to Michael Jackson. When my family made the move to the south my mother and father traveled to Georgia for the house hunt. I was thrilled to learn that I was going to stay with my aunt and uncle for a good part of the summer. They lived in the big house and I will always remember the smell of the tall dry grass. I had some of my best memories that trip spending time with my aunt and uncle. I remember getting to play with lots of ninja turtles and getting all I could eat mac and cheese. She always treated me like a queen and intern developed the nickname for me as Queen. I also spent a great deal of summers on the road crossing county with my dear aunt mother and brother. My aunt always made sure the trip fairly arrived daily with fun activities like coloring books and fun games to make my brother and me pass the time between states. I remember the trip from our home in Georgia across the entire county. We stopped in four corners and I can remember standing with my aunt with our feet in two states at once. She was always there for us and her love was unconditional. A few years ago, my mother went to Vegas to help my aunt get better after a stay in the hospital. I joined her for more than a year, and I loved spending time with my aunt and uncle. We spent time as a family and I am so happy I had a chance to stay with them. When Eric and I had our wedding day my Aunt could not join us because she was ill in the hospital. I wished she could have been there, but I wasn't going to let her miss out on seeing me in my wedding dress. After the wedding Eric and I headed to Las Vegas. We met with Aunt Cathe at the hospital and I brought the dress and modeled it for her. We also brought cake ;). It was so nice to see her and my uncle Dennis was nice enough to get a recorded message from her to us on our wedding day. I cherish it now and I am greatly thankful to know how happy she was for us both. Last year we headed down again for our yearly trip to Disneyland and Vegas. We met with Aunt Cathe at her home and had a lovely afternoon with her. Latter when I told her we were having a baby, she informed me she already knew. She called it, and we found out we were pregnant about two days after leaving her home. She always knew me better than I knew myself. My aunt and I have always shared a special bold like no other. She has and always will hold a monumental place in my heart. Love you Aunt Cathe. You will be greatly missed but always loved.

Love you with all my heart,
Kelsey Queen Hermanson

Cathe had a big heart. She was always concerned about people. In the last 8 years when I had Nevada in my work territory, I was able to visit Las Vegas and see Cathe quite often. She was a happy person and wanting to please the people she was around. She will be missed. Many years ago when my life changed dramatically due to an accident Cathe gave me a small 12 inch banner that reads “Don't hurry, Don't Worry, and Don't Forget to Smell the Flowers” I have that banner hung in my office and I think about it often. Through my wife Denise's experiences with Cathe, I have been able to understand Cathy much more. In 2006, Cathe traveled by car with my wife Denise to our house in WA and through the Redwoods. We also traveled to San Diego Sea World with Cathe. The Happy One will be missed.

I didn't know Cathe well but wish I had. From what I hear from John she was a very kind woman. I'll never forget when I used to mail John fresh baked cookies and he told me Aunt Cathe didn't like coconut but she loved my macaroons. I don't like coconut either but thought if she likes them maybe I should try them ha ha. I did try them and I loved them. Thanks Aunt Cathe. You are and always will be missed by those whose lives you graced.

Aunt Cathe always told the best stories. She just had a knack for remembering things about everyone in the family. Whenever I spent time with her I felt as though I was the most important person to her. I remember going to the mall with her as a teen (a teenage girls favorite place). She told me that she wanted to buy me something special and I told her I really wanted some "fancy" perfume that my boyfriend at the time liked. I will always remember what she said to me, "do you want this for YOU or for him. I will only get this if you love it and want it, not if its to please a boy." I convinced her that its what I wanted and I wore it everyday until we broke up. I never wore that perfume again. I have remembered though a few short words of wise counsel from a loving aunt. I never told her how her words influenced my decisions to not dress or look a certain way to please others.
I also will never forget how trusting she was to send me and Kelly to the mall with her credit card! Wow. Talk about a high risk situation. It was because she trusted us that we both bought something reasonably priced nothing crazy. I will never forget how excited she was to see our purchase. That was my Aunt Cathe, big heart and hugs, laughter and smiles, fun and full of life!
Till we meet again. I love you,

Fly with the angels Cathy! Surf on the rainbows and bask in Eternal Heart Essence! Cathy had Heart! She lived from her heart center and radiated light, joy, love and that wonderful bubbly friendliness and warmth to each of those around her. On many levels Cathy was the "teacher" (unconditional love) and the "healer" (living from her heart center). She touched each of our lives with her warmth. On behalf of my family, myself, my sons Ethan, Aaron and Will, we extend our heartfelt Love, Light, and Blessings to Dick Pulsifer and each of Cathy's family members.

I remember Cathy always for her cheer and smile and especially her food. We would come to visit her and she would make her world famous tacos. It was an all day affair that you could smell threw out the house. I don't know how she made them but I would go in the kitchen and she would let me sneak a taste. Meal time for our family was a huge event that the whole family would enjoy. Aunt Cathy would be in the kitchen all day seasoning chopping things and seasoning the food we would sit and visit all day long. I also remember sitting with Cathy at grandmas house talking about karate and my uncle Richard (Cathie's husband) owned a karate studio and by the next day Cathy gave me a gift of a duffle bag full of everything I would need for karate from clothes, pads, shoes and weapons. That was how she was, always taking care of the family, whether she was cooking or just taking of others. She was always involved with the family. I remember when my daughters first met her they for sure loved her cooking and then they loved her makeup. My youngest daughter would speak at length with aunt Cathy about makeup and how to use it. We love you and will miss you aunt Cathy.

My senior year in HS, Cathe and Richard was gracious enough and allowed me to stay with them so I could continue my last year at Granite Hills. A 17 year old kinda out on his own. I remember the dinners at the local Italian joint. When I say we eat there a lot I mean A LOT almost every night some sort of take out. What a HS kid's dream. I will always be grateful for that time together and something I look back on with laughter and fondness.

I will echo my sister's thoughts. Aunt Cathe just knew how to spoil. Her laughter was contagious.
I will always and forever love her.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Richard and the family

My memories of Cathe are many. I have known Cathe since I was 16 years old that is 52 years. Cathe was one of my bridesmaids in our wedding. She is one of the most giving people that I've ever known. Cathe had a big heart she was always thinking about others before herself. She had a phenomenal memory especially when it came to her family. We could always count on some great stories. She loved all her nieces' nephews and always made sure she spoiled them with gifts for all occasions! Dennis and I will miss her and look forward to seeing her again in heaven. Thank you, Cathe, for all the great memories you left in our heart. I love you forever and always.

She has the biggest heart, a kind soul and always made you feel loved when you were around her. I can remember her taking us shopping to buy a little something whenever I would visit her. She would say "I don't get to see you much, so I want to buy you something special". We will always remember you Aunt Cathe.

Cathe touched my life in many ways. I remember as a little boy going to the bowling alley to bowl junior league. I have fond memories of the kindness and genuine interest that Cathe showed to others. I recall visiting Paso Robles for a family reunion over a Christmas break. I was trying to keep my weight at a certain level for wrestling, but to no avail. The plentitude of tacos and many other tasty dishes were too tempting. I remember a nice football game with the cousins too. We love the life that you lived Cathe.

My Aunt Cathe was an inspiration to me. I loved how she cared about everyone in the family. I have so many fond memories of time I spent with her.

When I was a little girl I remember her taking us to go see Thea movie Herbie. We had so much fun that day.

One Christmas I drove my sister and I up to her house in Paso Robles. We spent a week visiting with her and uncle Richard . One day she drove us to go visit the little town of solvang . We had so much fun going into all the small shops there. I remember each night that week that we would sit at the kitchen table and play either a board game or card game. That was such a fun trip.

Every Thanksgiving she and Richard would come over to celebrate with my family. I loved sitting at the kitchen table listening to her tell stories of her childhood . I still remember the last time she was able to come just a few years ago. I will treasure those memories. My kids have great memories of her too.

One spring break my family went to Las Vegas to visit with her. We went one day to circus circus with her and the kids had a blast. On another day we went with aunt Cathe to the coca - cola and m& m factory. We had such a nice visit with her. I am so glad we went.

I will miss my Aunt Cathe. Now I have another angel in heaven to watch over my family. I love you Aunt Cathe .
