Catherine Reeverts

Catherine (McKee) Reeverts passed away peacefully at her Rockford residence on March 10, 2025 at the age of 83. She was born on July 15, 1941, daughter to Theodore and Mary McKee. She graduated from St. Mary's academy in Leonard Town, Maryland in 1959. After moving to northern Illinois, she graduated in 1972 from Rockford College. Catherine dedicated her life to teaching grade school in the Rockford Public Schools District 205, starting at present-day Thurgood Marshall Elementary (previously Haight) and completing her career at Rock River Elementary. She was honored to help shape the future generations through education.

She is survived by her son Keith and his father Theodore; stepchildren George Reeverts, Katie Davis, David Reeverts and James Reeverts; her siblings Theodore McKee, Joan Hoffer, John McKee, Patricia McKee-Kastl and Thomas McKee; and numerous nephews, nieces and step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph Reeverts; her mother Mary McKee and her father Theodore McKee and stepmother Constance Supplee McKee.

A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 High Crest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107. A fellowship will follow at the church.
