I was so very saddened to hear about Cathy's recent passing. I knew her from the State Board of Mediation and Arbitration. She was a pleasure to work with - always cheerful and accommodating. She will be sorely missed.

Love you so much Cathy! You will always be a special person that I got to know at our dental office. I will miss you so much. Thank you for the chocolates!

So sorry for the loss of such a dedicated woman. Especially thoughts and prayers for Kathy Foley, who was such a good and loyal friend of Cathy's.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Ms. Serino. God understands the comfort that we need when we lose a loved one. May you confide in Him always because His understanding is beyond measure. (Psalm 147:3)

Cathy was an inspiration for women in the labor movement at a time when few women were visible. She demonstrated the value of womens' participation In the work place and thus in the community. She will be sorely missed .

Cathy was a shining light at the State Board of Mediation and Arbitration. I have known her since I was a Business Manager for the Waterford Board of Education. For the last 34 years as a labor attorney, she was my resource, colleague and friend. I join a multitude that will miss her greatly!

I worked with Cathy on the Hidden Lake Association Board for several years. She was so dedicated to the community and its members. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Cathy brought a smile to the faces of all who were around her. Her sweet demeanor, kind words and encouraging thoughts always brightened our days!

We all gained an amazing angel this week!

What a tragic loss. Cathy was a mentor and incredible role model for solving conflicts with grace, wit and civility. I was lucky to have the experience of watching her mastery many times. She will be sorely missed.

My beloved Cathy work will be so different with out your presence. What a pleasure it was to be able to share some time with you. My boys and I will miss you dearly.

Catherine Serino was a pioneer in state labor relations. Her legacy, is the remarkable record of unstinting, public service to the State of Connecticut and to the labor movement. Moreover, Cathy was the model for Jesuit pedagogy - devoting a lifetime of service to others. Our lives are forever blessed by having Cathy's seminal, trailblazing journey - cross paths with each of ours.
