Catherine Weigel Catherine Weigel was born Nov. 27, 1923, in Esmond, ND to Wendelin and Eva (Fettig) Richter. She died in Tacoma Sept. 20, 2007. Catherine married Ray Weigel Nov 15, 1945. They lived in Harvey, ND, and farmed for 9 years until 1958, when they moved to Tacoma, WA. Catherine retired from Allenmore Hospital in 1985. She was a member of St.Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and their Grief Ministry. Survivors include sisters Theresia of Fargo, ND, Margie of Fergus Falls, MN, Caroline of Chicago, IL, Eva of Federal Way, WA and Cecelia of Harvey, ND; brothers Wendelin of Kent, WA, Leo of Shelton, WA and Ignatius of Shelton, WA. She was preceded in death by husband of 55 years, Ray; her father and mother Wendelin and Eva; brothers Ludwig and Adam, and sisters Regina and Mary. Viewing from 5 to time of Rosary at 7:00pm, Thursday, Sept 27, at Haven of Rest Funeral Home, Hwy 16, Gig Harbor. Funeral Mass 10:30am Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Tacoma. Interment at Haven of Rest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Catherine was my Aunt and a very dear one who will be missed greatly but I know she is happy now because she is with Uncle Ray. We loved her dearly.
