Don, I will miss you so much. You were such a dear friend for so many years. Words cannot express how deeply saddened I am. I called you tonight to talk to you when I was told of your passing. May you rest in peace. I love you!

My husband, Joe, served with Don in 1957 at Lambert Field. We often wondered what had happened to the Springers.

As you can read from all the other guest book entries, Commander Springer was well-loved by all. I always enjoyed seeing him and visiting with him at different get-togethers over the years and enjoyed his upbeat spirit and humor. I will certainly miss seeing him at those times in the future.

Don was a very special friend and I will treasure the moments we shared forever. He was the best neighbor, the most generous man, and bringing him into our card game all those years ago makes me miss him even more.
