ASH Cecil Fitzgerald It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cecil Fitzgerald Ash on the morning of July 21, 2008 at the age of 73. He will be dearly missed by his wife Teresa, children Randy (Heather), Jennifer, Melanie, Kristina, sister Lorna, half-brother Mikey, 5 grandchildren, niece, nephews and numerous friends and colleagues. Cecil was predeceased by his mother Verna Cummings, father Ralph Ash and beloved grandmother Gertrude (Mudsy) Brooks. Cecil was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad on November 28, 1934. Amongst his numerous achievements and accomplishments Cecil completed degrees in both teaching and law at UBC. Cecil donated much of his time to various organizations, as not only a volunteer, but avid member most notably to the Trinidad and Tobago Society of BC. Until the time of his death Cecil continued to practice law at his firm Ash, O'Donnell, and Hibbert in Richmond and in Langley, BC. Cecil loved his trips to Mexico with his wife and family. He enjoyed walking his dogs and was an avid sports fan. A celebration of Cecil's life to be announced at a later date. Donations can be made to the Trinidad and Tobago Society of BC on his behalf.
