I was going through some very challenging things in my life. My esteem and will were low. At that time there were over 10,000 members in FAME. I saw how Dr. Murray left himself open to minister to anyone, at any time, no matter your station, rich/poor, housed/homeless. I was flabbergasted when he recognized me amongst all those people and called me by my name. He allowed me a lot of his valued time as I needed to sit and talk with him one evening. There were several others waiting to talk to him (although there were other counselors available to help). Most people only wanted to speak with him. I cried, he empathized and gave me spiritual and psychological guidance that stayed with me all these years and helped me be better, stronger, wiser. He even served me dinner that night. That was 35 years ago. What a remarkable, sincere, man of God who lived what he preached. I love Dr/Rev Murray, respect him, and treasure having crossed paths with him. Best of all he left me knowing with all certainty that God is always with me and I in him. Thanks for this opportunity to share.
