POSMAN, Cecil Joe. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 26, 2007. Cherished husband of Joanie Niederhoffer. Beloved father and father-in-law of Stacey Kay, Jamie and Shoham, Adam and Tania, and extended family Lisa and Paul, Anthony and Jenn. Son of the late Sam and the late Annie Posman. Son-in-law of Pearl Migicovsky. Adored Bubba of Spencer. Grandpa Joe to Emma, Aidan and Zachary. Brother of Harriet and the late Cyril Tritt, Frances Zyto (Posman), the late Zeke, the late Leo and the late Zelda, and the late Helen Reiter. Brother-in-law of Willie Reiter. Sadly mourned by his nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the angels of 4 Main at the JGH for their exceptional care. A special thank you to his caregiver Yeshi. Joe was admired and respected by his colleagues, friends and all who knew him. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Wednesday, March 28 at 11 a.m. Burial at the Congregation Beth Tikvah Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, Dollard des Ormeaux. Shiva private. Due to the advent of Passover, shiva ends Monday morning, April 2. I met and befriended JoJo at Outremont High School some years ago. I also remember him trying unsuccessfully to teach me how to water ski in Ste. Agathe, where both our parents had houses. It was 10 years ago when JoJO stepped up to the plate to help me when I lost my husband, Stephen. He was kind, helpful and proved himself to be the ultimate true friend. I haven't heard from him in many years but I will miss him dearly. My condolences to the entire family. May his soul rest in peace.

I knew JoJo from Outremont High School and then spent many a summer in Ste. Agathes. He unsuccessfully tried to teach me how to water ski. Ten years ago, when my husband passed away, JoJo saw me through my trauma with his kindness, good advice, and warm friendship. I will think of him always. I went to school in Outremont with Jojo and was friendly with him over the years. Then, unfortunately we lost contact. He was a wonderful person always full of humour and wit. I am sure that he will be missed by all those who loved him.
