Cecil Walter Rogers

ROGERS _ Cecil Walter. Born in Swan River, Manitoba on May 27, 1932, Walter passed away after a brief illness at Langley Memorial Hospital on September 27, 2005. He is mourned by his son Stuart (Patricia) and his grandchildren, Alanna and Michael, who wish they had far more time to get to know him than the circumstances have allowed, and his daughter Deirdre (Martin). He is survived by his sisters Alice and Edna, and brother Richard, having been predeceased by his sisters Gwen and Donalda. Walter grew up in Northern Manitoba, moving to Winnipeg in 1952 where he married and started a family. Shortly thereafter, he was debilitated by an illness from which he never fully recovered. He moved to British Columbia in 1999 to be closer to his son and daughter. The family would like to thank the staff of Murrayville Manor for the care and friendship they provided to "Wally" during his last years. A memorial service celebrating Walter's life will be held on Monday, October 3, 2005 at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home at 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley, B.C. at 3:00PM (604) 530-6488.
