Cecilia Lieder Obituary
She is survived by her three sons, Erik, Chris, and Karl; and her grandchildren, Gerhard, Reinhard, Bernhard, Hans, Sagis, Adelaide, and Kadence.
Cecilia earned Master's degrees in Art and English, learned German and Italian, and had a lifelong love of poetry. In Duluth, Minnesota, she played a vital role in supporting the arts, founding the Northern Printmakers Alliance, Northern Prints Gallery, and Calyx Press. She believed art was not just a practice but a way of life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 9, 2025, at Spirit of the Lake Community Arts, Duluth, MN, at 2:00 PM CT, in person and via Zoom.
Donations may be made to an arts initiative in her honor.
