I knew Cecilla in High School. I remember her well, she always had a smile on her face and had a distinct voice and laugh. If she was your friend she was a genuine one. I feel very fortunate to have known Cecilla and that our paths crossed. I'm happy to know that Cece found and knew God. Heaven has a very happy cheerful new spirit. Cecilia and I met in 1972 and I never saw her spirit wane. She was a dear, dear person. I was blessed to spend the day with her a year ago and it was like we had never been apart. You can rest now dear one. Your legacy is amazing.

Cecilia...I didn't know you as well as many others but always enjoyed our conversations. You are certainly one of the most gracious women I've met. I knew you before you were ill and after. Other than the time when your treatments took your hair, I would have never known you were I'll. I never once heard you complain and that smile of yours was ever present. I really thought you would be with us for many years to come. I have briefly met your two older daughters and see they have inherited your beauty and poise.
I know we have to accept that you are gone from us but that doesn't mean we can't be sad for as long as we need to be sad. May God hold you in his loving arms. And may he watch over your family and help them find peace.

Cecilia. Beautiful inside and out, giving, welcoming, funny, human, wise, spontaneous, strong, adventurous, gentle… did I say giving? How does one describe in ordinary words, someone who was not ordinary at all? Cecilia helped me to learn to laugh at myself, to see the bright side of life. She invited me into her family and I am forever grateful. My heart goes out to Walt and the family. I was one of the people who enjoyed a baby shower in the back yard for Katherine L. Cecilia was a very special precious person and I so admired Walt and Cecilia for their wonderful job at raising their family and building a great life together. She was beautiful inside and out.

So blessed that we spent 28-55 years old together raising ourselves, our children and countless newcomers. We shared laughter, tears and many adventures. You are woven into the fabric of the history of all who love you. Many of us are not sure how to live life without you, so following your effortless loving example we will support one another. You taught us to love life, through fun and hard times, always leading by example. ???

My name is billadams and i am cecelias cousin on my mothers side.i remember visiting my cousins in sacramento when we were children.i remember one visit when cecelia was maybe 10 or so.she was in the bathroom of there modest housr and i remember cecelia talking about how if you peel the foil off of gum wrappers you could sell it for money.i remember she was so pretty,so bright and charasmatic,a star.i remember thinking that she did not belong there.she just was too much of a star,i felt ,to be living in modesty.i will miss her and i thank her husband walt for giving her the life she deserved.rest in peace cecelia.

Good bye, my sweet little cousin. You had such a gift for trying to sow love where there was sorrow, and to try to bring happiness to others. You believed with all of your heart in celebrating life! and included those whose life you touched in the celebration. You had a great and wonderful generosity of spirit, and believed passionately in family. Until we meet on the other side, farewell.

Cecilia was what unconditional friendship is about. I loved everything about her. Her wit lifted my day. Her sincerity blessed my life. Her strength is only something I could hope for. Her support unyielding. One of the worlds brightest lights will now shine in my heart forever. There was no one like her. Rest in peace and may everyone you touched be as kind and loving as you.
